Dr. Brian Chisdak has practiced at Gallatin Valley Surgical Arts in Bozeman, Montana, since 2004. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, he is dedicated to making a positive impact on people’s lives and quality of life through his work, from reconstructing a jaw after an accident, to restoring a smile, to relieving sleep apnea.

Born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Dr. Chisdak was inspired to work in dentistry by his father as well as neighborhood mentor who was an oral surgeon. After earning a bachelor’s degree at Northwestern University, he went on to attend dental school at the University of Pennsylvania and medical school at the University of Nebraska.

During his residency at the University of Nebraska, Dr. Chisdak visited Montana and fell in love with the landscape. Upon graduation, he began practicing in Billings and then in Bozeman, where he now enjoys the surroundings with his wife, an obstetrician, and their two children.

Outside of the office, Dr. Chisdak acts as the director of the Blue Ribbon Seminars dental study group, which provides the member doctors with continuing education on the latest science and technology. He also lectures to the dental students at Montana State University and is active in the local community.
